Parsnip’s Second Chance ❤️
Found among more than 30 cats living in an abandoned RV in Mesa County, Colorado, little Parsnip was given a chance at a new life when she and 13 other cats were transferred to Feline Rescue Network.
Thirteen of the cats and kittens from Mesa County have since found loving homes. But Parsnip’s story took an unexpected turn. While the others were growing and thriving, Parsnip wasn’t gaining weight or developing as she should.
We knew she needed help. After consulting with our veterinarian, we received the difficult diagnosis of FIP (feline infectious peritonitis), a serious disease that was once considered almost always fatal. Thankfully, new treatment options now offer hope.
Parsnip has begun a 12-week course of medication that can give her a real chance at a healthy, happy life. The treatment is very expensive for a small shelter like FRN, but we believe this little girl deserves every opportunity to grow up, explore the world, and enjoy the loving home that’s waiting for her.
This is where you come in!

During the Pikes Peak Give! campaign, your generosity can help provide the lifesaving care Parsnip needs and support Feline Rescue Network’s mission to give cats like her a second chance.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. Your gift helps us say yes to the cats who need us most—even when their journey to a happy ending takes a little extra time, care, and expense.
Give. Rescue. Repeat.
