Every day, more than 750 cats and kittens are euthanized in U.S. shelters. Not because they are unadoptable, but because too many shelters lack the space and resources to save them. Feline Rescue Network is working to change that – rescuing cats from overcrowded, under-resourced communities and giving them the second chance they deserve.
The Latest
As Halloween approaches, black cats seem to appear everywhere—from decorations and costumes to greeting cards and spooky stories. While these images may seem harmless, they are rooted in centuries-old myths and superstitions that have unfairly shaped how some people view black cats.

When Mesa County Animal Services rescued more than 30 cats from a hoarding situation involving a camper trailer in western Colorado, they reached out to Feline Rescue Network for help.
Our Impact This Month
Who We Are
Through a collaborative network of animal shelters, rescue organizations, and our local community partners, we identify and transport cats at risk of euthanasia due to overcrowding, limited resources, and insufficient adoption opportunities. By connecting vulnerable cats with Colorado Springs and surrounding communities where they have a greater chance of adoption, we create life-saving pathways that give every cat the opportunity to thrive in a safe, loving, and permanent home.
