We Are Seeking Volunteers
Now Hiring: Cat Heroes
Position: Volunteer
Salary: Unlimited kitten purrs, occasional head boops, and the satisfaction of saving lives.
Location: Wherever cats need you.
Feline Rescue Network is currently seeking highly qualified individuals for the role of Cat Hero.
Successful candidates will possess at least one of the following skills:
- Giving chin scratches to deserving felines
- Taking adorable photos that convince strangers to adopt cats
- Texting with one hand while swinging a wand toy with the other
- Scooping litter boxes while being supervised by a cat
- Convincing friends and family that “just one more cat” is absolutely necessary
- Talking about cats more than most people think is reasonable
Previous cat experience is helpful but not required. If you’ve ever stopped what you were doing to pet a cat, shown someone a cat photo they didn’t ask to see, or referred to a cat as your “coworker,” you’re probably already qualified.
The reality behind the humor is that thousands of cats enter overcrowded shelters every day, and many never get the chance to find a home. Our volunteers help change that story. They are the reason cats get rescued, cared for, transported, fostered, adopted, and ultimately given a second chance.
Whether you can volunteer a few hours each month or become deeply involved in our mission, your time directly helps save lives.
Benefits include:
- Meeting amazing cats and even some people
- Making a tangible difference in the lives of our feline companions
- Joining a team of people who understand why cat videos take up most of your phone storage
- Knowing that your efforts helped a cat find a loving home
